Toylit is currently in America’s top 50 most widely read poetry magazines by pageviews, even though I haven’t posted a new poem there in a decade.

Once upon a time, I thought I could change the news cycle with poetry. 500k+ pageviews and zero literary reviews have disabused me of that notion.

Now I know better and sign my name to my work.

People get crazed when it comes to pen names and literary persona. It’s just literature. Not all speech acts are legally binding intentions.

Then again, literary personae get crazed as well.

I’m only writing for people capable of telling the difference.
